Console-Style (0) Console-Style Role-Playing Games (CRPG) are games that find their roots on the console system. Many of these games derive from Japan (JRPG) such as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, or Pokemon. They are usually more simplistic, story driven and usually feature less character attributal development than Computer-oriented RPGs.

Roguelikes (10) The "Rogue"-like is a game that borrows elements from the very first of it's kind, "Rogue". The game, "Diablo" is a more modern version of the classic roguelikes, although with a more "hack'n'slash" feel and less complexity.
Basically this type of game involves creating a character based on several different races, classes and skills and sending him/her into a randomized dungeon filled with random monsters, treasures and traps. Typically Roguelikes do not allow the player to load his/her game after death. The save file is deleted and the player must start over.
